                       BE THE CHANGE

Today , I am feeling energised and rejuvenated by Gandhian ideology ; while travelling by Rajdhani. I woke up , attendant facilitated bed tea , snack and news paper. Each headline of news clamours transforming India.

Later on  , I  found pathetic condition of toilets , no handwash , no water & no lights too. Even , no bolt was there to  anchor the door , but my hand were enough to bolt the doors. The only source of water was the oozing ceiling of toilet.
I searched the SAFAIWALLA all around; but all in vain. Then , I asked the complaint book , but very tardy response; nobody turned up to entertain me.
Eventually , I had tweeted to Mr suresh prabhu & Railmin's twitter handle untill manger came to me.He asked me sir what happened ? All the nodding , dozing , sleeping , gossiping ,  wats apping & googling fellows passengers fired fiercely on manager , until I could lodge the complaint. The manager was encircled by passengers and litany of complaints.Even , a military personnel was so vociferously rebuked him and clamoured the saga of his daily life with bullets and guns.
The after effects of this incident was , entire train  cleaned properly and each complaints was addressed. I am still awaiting the response of my tweets.

Finally , I could learn that being IAS , IPS or a powerfull public authority is not the ultimate to bring reforms. But  an aware and responsible citizen can bring the change .We need to change ourselves to bring the change.

  1. An informed citizenry is always regarded as a key to development, various initiatives of the government are epicfail because of lack of info on the scheme, grievance redressal procedure and channel and cumbersome procedural delays adding to it a lacking in ethics machinery.initiatives like citizen's charter and e-governance can be a game changer in addressing these problems but that without infrastructural base will remain a far cry only.
